Capabilities

Since 1999, Premier Products of Racine, Inc. has been meeting the needs of diverse industries ranging from medical, solar, and telecommunications to appliances, barbeques, and office furniture. As a full-service custom roll forming company with decades of experience, our expert team has the knowledge and resources to deliver quality, competitively priced products for a broad range of applications. We strive to offer a comprehensive suite of value-added services to fulfill our customers’ needs from product concept and design to manufacturing and finishing.

Custom Metal Stamping Services

This cold-forming manufacturing technique begins with metal sheets; applies a die to cut, bend, or otherwise form the material; and ultimately generates metal parts in various shapes. Manufacturers can utilize dies such as single dies, transfer dies, progressive dies, and more to produce a desired profile.

A metal stamping die can make thousands of parts per hour while maintaining critical criteria and tolerances to ensure uniform quality that meets or exceeds customer expectations. Through this cost-effective manufacturing process, Premier Products of Racine can consistently create high volumes of parts — even those with complex designs — both quickly and accurately.

Our team has extensive experience with an array of alloys to offer you optimal material versatility. Some of the common materials we work with that are compatible with custom metal stamping processes include the following:

  • Aluminum and aluminized metal
  • Copper
  • Hot and cold rolled steel
  • Stainless, carbon, galvanized, and high-strength steel
  • Galvalume
  • Titanium

We operate advanced equipment like our 100- to 400-ton metal stamping presses, which reach speeds of 50 to 140 strokes each minute and achieve tolerances of ±0.002 inches or better.

Custom Roll Forming Services

Roll forming is a metalworking technique that utilizes a series of rolls to bend sheet metal coils into a desired configuration. Each roll set is mounted onto a continuous stand, and as the metal material runs through a custom roll former, each set of rollers creates an incremental bend in the coiled steel strip.

Custom roll forming provides a number of benefits as compared to other metalworking techniques, such as:

  • Enhanced efficiency and higher production speeds in your operations
  • Reduced costs due to minimal tool wear and material waste generation
  • Material and design flexibility, achieving various shapes from ferrous and nonferrous metals
  • Improved quality, accuracy, and uniformity for tight-tolerance parts across production runs

Our proprietary roll forming method enables these benefits, allowing us to create parts ranging from the simple to those that are highly cosmetic or difficult to roll form.

Custom Sheet Metal Fabrication Services

Utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) files, engineered drawings, or three-dimensional models, our custom sheet metal fabrication capabilities allow us to produce metal parts to meet your exact specifications. At Premier Products of Racine, we create high-quality products with tolerances of ±0.010 inches or better by utilizing the following sheet metal fabrication services:

  • Bending
  • Rolling
  • Forming
  • Punching
  • Shearing
  • Edge conditioning
  • Welding (projection, and spot welding)
  • Assembly and riveting

Our 210,000-square-foot facility is set up to handle production volumes ranging from prototypes and short runs to large-scale orders. Between our quick-change tooling capabilities and our robotic loaders/unloaders, we’re well-equipped for rapid production and fast turn times. For clients with projects that must meet specific requirements, Premier Products of Racine products can comply with ASTM, ANSI, DOT, and Mil-Spec standards, as needed.

Projection Welding Services

A form of resistance welding, projection welding uses both heat and electrical current to form a weld nugget. By focusing these two elements on a single localized point, the process minimizes distortion and enhances precision.

One or both metal components being joined will develop projections during the assembly process, which are raised segments of metal. These projections allow for this heat and current localization in the necessary location. They eventually collapse due to the heat, forming the weld nuggets that create a strong joint.

We offer projection welding for the following advantages:

  • High-quality, repeatable welds that create a strong bond between materials
  • Even heat distribution compared to other welding methods (little to no heat checking)
  • Enhanced design and weld versatility using a single electrode
  • Superior electrode life cycle due to lower current needs
  • Reduced energy consumption
  • Compatibility with various material thicknesses
  • Single operation covers pre-welding, welding, annealing, and tempering

Whether you require low or high volumes, we can meet your welding needs for products ranging from structural components, vehicle parts, and healthcare devices to metal doors, appliance components, and fan covers.

Assembly Services

At Premier Products of Racine, we understand that producing quality parts involves more than mastering the manufacturing phase. That’s why, in addition to our welding capabilities, we offer myriad services for the assembly of various components, including:

  • Adhesive bonding
  • Clinch-lock
  • Fastening
  • Manual attachment
  • Riveting
  • Rivnut insertion

We strive to offer turnkey services that meet the specific needs of virtually any project. Our assembly services are available for applications requiring high-volume automated systems or low-volume manual assembly.

Finishing Services

Finishing processes serve both the form and function of a part. Various treatments and coatings can improve a part’s durability and performance, make it easier to keep clean, and even give it a more attractive look. The knowledgeable team at Premier Products of Racine is familiar with many types of secondary finishing techniques to ensure your product has the necessary surface finish or aesthetic. Our secondary finishing services include, but are not limited to:

  • Metal plating to enhance surface hardness, corrosion resistance, and visual appeal
  • Electroless plating for plastics and other non-conductive materials
  • Powder coating to create a smooth, durable coat on metallic and non-metallic surfaces
  • Passivation to remove iron and contaminants from steel surfaces and improve corrosion resistance
  • Hot blackening to improve a steel product’s dimensional stability and aesthetics

To ensure that we offer comprehensive services, Premier Products of Racine partners with a trusted network of vetted vendors if you have a functional or aesthetic need that we don’t handle directly.
